Job summary

CCS Group, a Canberra-based HVAC solutions provider, seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead advisory, design and delivery across building electrification and energy performance. You will work on new construction and upgrades, coordinating with construction and facilities teams while delivering consultancy-style guidance.

The role requires experience with NABERS, Green Star, WELLs and building electrification, plus a current driver's license and ACT Engineer Registration (or CPENG).

We're looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team.

The Role

This is a senior technical role spanning advisory, design and delivery.

You will work across building electrification, energy performance, new construction and mechanical system upgrades — from early-stage client advisory through to project completion.

You’ll sit in a unique professional position working with our HVAC construction team, Facilities Maintenance Team and performing consultancy style advice to established construction and FM clients.

Your work will include:

• Building electrification strategy and advisory
• Green Star and WELLs design and compliance
• Mechanical system upgrades for existing buildings
• Client engagement and stakeholder communication
• Design Management, documentation, calculation and collaboration

What We’re Looking For

A senior engineer who thinks like a consultant but wants to see their work built. You'll need to be comfortable working across both advisory and delivery, and confident engaging directly with clients.

You'll need:

• Demonstrated experience across NABERS, Green Star, WELLS and/or building electrification
• Current Drivers Licence
• Australian Citizenship (due to specific project requirements)
• ACT Engineer Registration (or CPENG or similar registration as a pathway)
• Experience with Procore is a plus, but not essential
