Job summary

Monadelphous is seeking an experienced Materials & Logistics Superintendent to join our Engineering Construction division for a major mining and minerals project in Port Hedland, WA. You will oversee materials management, warehousing, logistics and supply chain activities to support timely delivery.

Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will lead site teams, coordinate inbound/outbound logistics, ensure inventory availability, and drive safety-focused practices across the project.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience on major mining/mineral projects.
• Strong understanding of construction supply chains and logistics operations.
• Proven ability to manage warehousing, inventory control and project logistics teams.
• Experience coordinating heavy haulage, oversized loads and remote site logistics.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
• Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage site materials, warehousing, logistics and freight teams to support project delivery.
• Oversee receipt, storage, preservation, tracking and distribution of project materials and equipment.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities, including transport scheduling and heavy haulage movements.
• Ensure materials are available to construction teams in line with project schedules and work fronts.
• Monitor inventory levels and implement effective stock control processes.
• Drive compliance with project procedures, quality requirements and materials management systems.
• Coordinate with procurement, construction and subcontractor teams to resolve material shortages and delivery issues.
• Manage site laydown areas, warehouses and logistics facilities to maximise efficiency and safety.
• Develop and maintain logistics plans, material forecasts and reporting requirements.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure all logistics activities are undertaken in accordance with HSE requirements.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, transport providers, client representatives and project stakeholders
