Job summary

Toyota Automated Logistics is seeking a Senior Manager, Training & Capability APAC, based in Australia. You will lead the development of capability, learning, and competency frameworks across the APAC region, partnering with senior leaders to raise workforce capability and drive operational excellence.

You will build the capability function from the ground up with high autonomy, direct exposure to senior leaders, and a tangible impact on capability strategy and workforce development across APAC.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading Learning & Development or Capability functions in complex operations such as logistics or manufacturing.
• Proven ability to design capability frameworks, workforce development strategies and competency-based programs.
• Strong understanding of competency assurance, assessment, verification, and governance.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive organizational change across diverse environments.
• Relevant tertiary qualification; postgraduate studies are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead APAC training and capability strategy aligned with business goals.
• Design and implement capability frameworks, models, and development pathways.
• Drive capability uplift initiatives to improve performance and effectiveness.
• Establish governance and verification frameworks for risk and compliance.

As our Senior Manager Training & Capability APAC, you will lead the development of capability, learning, and competency frameworks across the Asia Pacific region. Based in Australia, this strategic role partners with business and operational leaders to build workforce capability, drive organisational performance, and support operational excellence.

This is a rare opportunity to build and shape a regional capability function from the ground up. With high levels of autonomy, direct exposure to senior leaders, and the ability to drive meaningful change quickly, you'll have a significant impact on capability strategy and workforce development across APAC.

Your Impact:

• Lead the APAC training and capability strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and workforce requirements.
• Design and implement capability frameworks, competency models, and development pathways across the region.
• Drive workforce capability uplift initiatives that improve operational performance and employee effectiveness.
• Establish governance, assurance, and competency verification frameworks to support business risk and compliance requirements.
• Partner with senior leaders to identify capability gaps and develop targeted learning solutions.

• Relevant tertiary qualification in learning, education, human resources, organisational development, business, engineering, or a related discipline. Postgraduate qualifications are advantageous.
