Job summary

JS Careers Pty is seeking a Senior Manager to lead Third-Party Product Distribution Risk within our risk governance framework. You will build a team from the ground up, redesign external partner governance and align operating models with evolving regulatory expectations.

You will partner with senior stakeholders across Sales, Product, Risk and Legal, drive data-driven oversight and deliver robust reporting to governance forums, shaping a market-leading risk function.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years in risk, compliance, assurance, financial crime or operational risk within banking or financial services.
• Proven track record of transforming or redesigning a risk or governance function.
• Proven people leadership and the ability to build a high-performance culture.
• Strong knowledge of key financial services regulation.
• Strong communicator who builds credible relationships at all levels.
• Desirable: exposure to risk management in financial advice or distribution.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team transforming third-party governance and oversight
• Set clear standards reflecting evolving regulatory and community expectations
• Lead investigations into conduct issues, including complaints, fraud, cyber and regulatory matters, and oversee corrective action
• Strengthen oversight through data-driven monitoring and risk-based assurance
• Partner with senior stakeholders across Sales, Product, Risk and Legal
• Enhance the risk framework and deliver reporting to governance forums
