Job summary

The NSW Department of Education is seeking a Senior Manager Commissioning in Eveleigh, NSW. This ongoing full-time role oversees the final stages of delivery projects, ensuring quality, safety, and operational readiness for handover.

You will lead cross‑team commissioning activities, coordinate with stakeholders, manage schedules, and ensure compliance with departmental standards to deliver fit-for-purpose education environments across NSW public schools.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated equivalent professional experience.
• Current general construction card (White card).
• Current and valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) Clearance for paid employment.
• Current driver’s licence.
• Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the implementation of the commissioning process, between the Delivery project and Asset Management teams, to meet the requirements of the internal stakeholders across NSW.
• Oversee the final stages of School Infrastructure projects to ensure they meet quality, safety, and operational standards in preparation for operational readiness and handover.
• Coordinate with various stakeholders, managing commissioning and handover schedules, and ensuring compliance with departmental requirements.
• Deliver fit-for-purpose educational environments that support teaching and learning across NSW public schools.
