Job summary

Westpac Group in Sydney seeks a Senior Manager, Risk in Change to lead first-line risk support across major change initiatives, with a primary focus on Financial Crime. You will partner with senior stakeholders across Risk, Change and delivery teams, balancing risk with commercial and customer outcomes.

In this hybrid Sydney role, you’ll facilitate risk conversations, identify emerging risks, and influence decisions through clear, data-driven insights.

Qualifications

• Strong risk and/or change experience gained within a complex, regulated environment.
• Exposure to Financial Crime, Non-Financial Risk, technology, data, compliance or transformation would be advantageous.
• Ability to lead risk conversations, workshops and risk-based decision making.
• Capable of synthesising information into clear, actionable insights for governance.
• Proactive and resourceful mindset with learning agility.

Responsibilities

• Partner across the change lifecycle, providing strategic and technical risk advice from business case development through to build, testing and implementation.
• Lead and facilitate risk conversations and workshops to uncover emerging risks and constraints.
• Analyse information across change initiatives to inform risk-based decisions.
• Build trusted relationships with Risk and Compliance specialists, influencing where appropriate.
• Support delivery of strategic data assets with a risk lens across the division.
• Escalate and present risk information through governance forums.
• Contribute thematic insights to Risk in Change reporting and practices.
