Job summary

The University of Sydney is seeking a Senior Manager – Procurement Assurance to shape assurance, governance and continuous improvement across procurement. You will set the direction, lead governance and reporting, and provide authoritative advice to senior leaders to strengthen controls and decision-making.

You will drive risk-based assurance activities, lead remediation for sustainable compliance, and build capability through targeted training.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
Experience leading procurement compliance, assurance, audit or risk management in a large organisation.
Strong governance, policy, and internal controls knowledge.

Responsibilities

Lead the procurement assurance framework using risk-based, data-driven approaches.
Provide authoritative advice on governance, policy and assurance to senior stakeholders.
Oversee procurement audits, reviews, investigations and remediation for sustainable compliance.
Lead governance reporting and secretariat services for procurement bodies with clear recommendations.
Build procurement capability through targeted guidance and training across the University.
Drive improvement initiatives to simplify procurement and strengthen controls.
