Grant Thornton Australia is seeking a Senior Manager for our Sydney Private Enterprise team. You’ll pursue a clear pathway to Partnership, leading client advisory for privately owned businesses while mentoring staff and building your personal brand.

You’ll engage in business development, craft commercial structures, and collaborate across national teams to deliver tailored client solutions in a dynamic, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA qualification or equivalent accreditation.
• Experience advising private businesses and high-net-worth clients.
• Strong stakeholder management and leadership capability.

About this role

We are looking for a Senior Manager to lend their expertise and client focus to our Sydney Private Enterprise team (also known as Business Services.)

This opportunity would suit a self-driven individual looking to propel their career to the next level, building their own brand and leveraging their business development skills on a clear pathway to Partnership.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio consisting of a variety of large privately-owned businesses and their owners, as well as collaboration with other teams across the firm nationally
• Build close working relationships with our clients, offering proactive, practical solutions to the various challenges faced by them
• Develop and implement commercial structures to assist clients in achieving their business and personal goals
• Develop and inspire a team consisting of Associates and Senior Associates
• Engage in business development activities in order to enhance your portfolio and build the specialisation that you wish to develop

Skills and experience

• Qualification(s) in a relevant discipline such as Business / Commerce, Accounting or Finance, or other relevant professional or overseas qualification(s)
• CA / CPA qualified, or other relevant industry accreditation(s)
• Diverse business advisory experience (including private business and high-net worth clients), leading the delivery of high-quality and robust strategic projects
• Highly-developed interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to collaboratively work with and influence stakeholders at all levels of client organisations
• Significant people management and leadership capabilities, with genuine care for your people
