Job summary

Grant Thornton Australia is seeking a Manager for our Sydney Private Enterprise team to lead a portfolio of large private clients and drive growth across the firm. Build client relationships, deliver advisory services, and mentor Associates to advance toward Partnership.

You will shape strategic initiatives, collaborate nationally, and develop commercial structures to support client goals while expanding your personal brand within a supportive, flexible environment.

Qualifications

• CA / CPA qualification, or other relevant accreditation.
• Diverse private business and high-net-worth client advisory experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Proven leadership and people management capabilities.

About this role

We are looking for a Manager to lend their expertise and client focus to our Sydney Private Enterprise team (also known as Business Services.)

This opportunity would suit a self-driven individual looking to propel their career to the next level, building their own brand and leveraging their business development skills on a clear pathway to Partnership.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio consisting of a variety of large privately-owned businesses and their owners, as well as collaboration with other teams across the firm nationally
• Build close working relationships with our clients, offering proactive, practical solutions to the various challenges faced by them
• Develop and implement commercial structures to assist clients in achieving their business and personal goals
• Develop and inspire a team consisting of Associates and Senior Associates
• Engage in business development activities in order to enhance your portfolio and build the specialisation that you wish to develop

Skills and experience

• Qualification(s) in a relevant discipline such as Business / Commerce, Accounting or Finance, or other relevant professional or overseas qualification(s)
• CA / CPA qualified, or other relevant industry accreditation(s)
• Diverse business advisory experience (including private business and high-net worth clients), leading the delivery of high-quality and robust strategic projects
• Highly-developed interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to collaboratively work with and influence stakeholders at all levels of client organisations
• Significant people management and leadership capabilities, with genuine care for your people
