Grant Thornton Australia is seeking a Senior Manager for the Sydney Private Enterprise team. You will lead client engagements for large privately-owned businesses, build strong client relationships, and drive business development to expand your portfolio.

The role emphasizes building your own brand, leveraging business development skills, and advancing toward Partnership, with a hybrid work approach and supportive culture.

Competenze

• Qualification(s) in a relevant discipline such as Business / Commerce, Accounting or Finance.
• CA / CPA qualified, or other relevant industry accreditation(s).
• Diverse business advisory experience (including private business and high-net worth clients).
• Highly-developed interpersonal skills and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of client organisations.
• Significant people management and leadership capabilities.

About this role

We are looking for a Senior Manager to lend their expertise and client focus to our Sydney Private Enterprise team (also known as Business Services.)

This opportunity would suit a self-driven individual looking to propel their career to the next level, building their own brand and leveraging their business development skills on a clear pathway to Partnership.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio consisting of a variety of large privately-owned businesses and their owners, as well as collaboration with other teams across the firm nationally
• Build close working relationships with our clients, offering proactive, practical solutions to the various challenges faced by them
• Develop and implement commercial structures to assist clients in achieving their business and personal goals
• Develop and inspire a team consisting of Associates and Senior Associates
• Engage in business development activities in order to enhance your portfolio and build the specialisation that you wish to develop

Skills and experience

• Qualification(s) in a relevant discipline such as Business / Commerce, Accounting or Finance, or other relevant professional or overseas qualification(s)
• CA / CPA qualified, or other relevant industry accreditation(s)
• Diverse business advisory experience (including private business and high-net worth clients), leading the delivery of high-quality and robust strategic projects
• Highly-developed interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to collaboratively work with and influence stakeholders at all levels of client organisations
• Significant people management and leadership capabilities, with genuine care for your people
