Job summary

Orange City Council is seeking a strategic leader to join the Infrastructure Directorate as Manager Project Management Office, reporting to the Director Infrastructure. You will lead the PMO and provide governance, portfolio planning and delivery oversight across a diverse capital works program.

You will lead a team of Project Managers, raise organisational capability, and establish best-practice frameworks to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and successfully.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading complex project portfolios, capital works programs or PMOs.
• Proven success leading and developing high-performing project teams.
• Strong knowledge of project governance, contract administration, delivery methodologies, reporting and assurance frameworks.
• Experience managing budgets, resources, risks and competing priorities.
• Stakeholder engagement and influencing skills across all levels of an organisation.
• Experience driving continuous improvement, organisational capability and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Lead Council's Project Management Office and provide strategic oversight of governance, portfolio planning and project delivery across a diverse capital works program.
• Oversee delivery of projects that shape Orange's future while ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Lead a team of Project Managers, establishing best-practice frameworks and strengthening organisational capability.
• Influence prioritisation, governance and delivery of major infrastructure initiatives.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to inform strategic decision-making and accountability.
