Job summary

Perpetual Wealth, part of Perpetual Limited, seeks a Senior Manager Financial Crime to own and enhance the Line 2 AML/CTF framework, governance and controls across its wealth management portfolio. The role covers risk assessments, regulatory reporting oversight, and engagement with regulators and senior governance committees.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in financial crime within wealth management, strong advisory skills, and relevant postgraduate qualifications or

• AML/CTF compliance knowledge and hands-on experience.
• Experience with FATCA/CRS governance and reporting oversight.
• Privacy governance capability and regulatory engagement.
• Ability to engage with senior governance forums, regulators and advisers.

Responsibilities

• Own and continuously improve Line 2 AML/CTF framework, policies and governance.
• Lead independent Line 2 oversight of money laundering, sanctions, fraud and other financial crime risks.
• Oversee FATCA and CRS governance, due diligence and reporting oversight.
• Provide authoritative advice and constructive challenge on customers, products, channels and jurisdictions.

As Senior Manager Financial Crime you will:Own, maintain and continuously improve the Line 2 AML/CTF compliance framework, program, policies, standards and supporting governance, subject to AMLCO approval and oversightLead independent Line 2 oversight of money laundering and terrorism financing risk, sanctions, fraud, scams, bribery and corruption, and other financial crime risks within the agreed role perimeterOwn and maintain the Line 2 FATCA and CRS governance framework, policies and standardsOversee enterprise, legal-entity, product and thematic financial crime risk assessments, and provide independent challenge on the adequacy and effectiveness of controlsProvide authoritative advice and constructive challenge on customers, products, services, channels, jurisdictions, transactions, projects and business changeAbout YouWe’re looking for someone with:Tertiary qualification in law, finance, accounting, business, risk, compliance or a related disciplineRelevant postgraduate qualification or professional certification, such as ACAMS, ICA or an equivalent credential, is desirableTypically 8 to 10+ years of relevant experience across financial crime, regulatory compliance, enterprise risk, privacy or related disciplines, including substantial experience in financial servicesDemonstrated experience owning, leading or materially uplifting compliance frameworks and policies in a Line 2 environmentStrong working knowledge of AML/CTF obligations, AUSTRAC expectations and regulatory reporting governanceExperience with FATCA and CRS governance, due diligence and reporting oversightDemonstrated privacy governance capability, including privacy advice, impact assessment, incident oversight, complaints and regulatory engagementExperience engaging with senior governance forums, regulators, auditors and external advisersExperience in wealth management, corporate trustee, funds management or a comparable financial services environment is highly desirableHow we work Our unique culture is underpinned by our three organisational behaviours, Stretch, Own it, Make an impact which drive our approach of day-to-day interactions with colleagues and clients, the way we approach decision-making to the questions we ask and the problems we solve.
