Job summary

Perpetual Wealth is seeking a Senior Manager Financial Crime to own and enhance the Line 2 AML/CTF framework, lead oversight of money laundering, sanctions, fraud, and other financial crime risks, and govern FATCA/CRS matters. You will advise on controls and regulatory compliance across products, services, and channels.

You will engage with regulators and senior governance forums, driving risk-aware decision making and collaboration across the wealth management business.

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of AML/CTF obligations and AUSTRAC expectations.
• Experience owning or uplifting Line 2 compliance frameworks and policies.
• Experience engaging with regulators, auditors and external advisers.

Responsibilities

• Own and continuously improve the Line 2 AML/CTF compliance framework, programs and policies.
• Lead Line 2 oversight of money laundering, sanctions, fraud, scams and other financial crime risks.
• Oversee FATCA and CRS governance, including policies, standards, and reporting.
• Provide authoritative advice on customers, products, services, channels and business change.

About the Role

Join our dynamic team at Perpetual Wealth. As Senior Manager Financial Crime you will:

• Own, maintain and continuously improve the Line 2 AML/CTF compliance framework, program, policies, standards and supporting governance, subject to AMLCO approval and oversight

• Lead independent Line 2 oversight of money laundering and terrorism financing risk, sanctions, fraud, scams, bribery and corruption, and other financial crime risks within the agreed role perimeter

• Own and maintain the Line 2 FATCA and CRS governance framework, policies and standards

• Oversee enterprise, legal-entity, product and thematic financial crime risk assessments, and provide independent challenge on the adequacy and effectiveness of controls

• Provide authoritative advice and constructive challenge on customers, products, services, channels, jurisdictions, transactions, projects and business change

About You

We’re looking for someone with:

• Tertiary qualification in law, finance, accounting, business, risk, compliance or a related discipline

• Relevant postgraduate qualification or professional certification, such as ACAMS, ICA or an equivalent credential, is desirable

• Typically 8 to 10+ years of relevant experience across financial crime, regulatory compliance, enterprise risk, privacy or related disciplines, including substantial experience in financial services

• Demonstrated experience owning, leading or materially uplifting compliance frameworks and policies in a Line 2 environment

• Strong working knowledge of AML/CTF obligations, AUSTRAC expectations and regulatory reporting governance

• Experience with FATCA and CRS governance, due diligence and reporting oversight

• Demonstrated privacy governance capability, including privacy advice, impact assessment, incident oversight, complaints and regulatory engagement

• Experience engaging with senior governance forums, regulators, auditors and external advisers

• Experience in wealth management, corporate trustee, funds management or a comparable financial services environment is highly desirable
