Senior Manager, Environment and Planning

The High Speed Rail Authority is seeking a suitable candidate to fulfill the role of the Senior Manager Sustainability and Net Zero. The role will lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of sustainability and decarbonisation initiatives across the Authority with a focus on the Development Phase.

The role is responsible for embedding sustainability principles throughout planning, procurement, design, construction and operational activities to support the delivery of a sustainable high speed rail network. The position provides authoritative advice on sustainability, climate change, carbon management and environmental governance and drives initiatives that contribute to the Authority's Net Zero commitments, climate resilience objectives and broader strategic outcomes. The role works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to influence policy, shape decision-making and ensure sustainability considerations are integrated into all stages of project and organisational delivery.
