The opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Manager to join our Digital Risk team. This role is an opportunity to play a leadership role in one of the most dynamic areas of Risk Consulting, and develop your skills in an inclusive and diverse environment. Our clients come from a wide range of industries and are transforming rapidly – modernising core platforms, scaling data and AI, responding to increasing cyber and regulatory expectations, and strengthening enterprise resilience across technology environments. Digital Risk helps clients build the trust and confidence needed to innovate, transform and operate safely.

You will lead high-impact client engagements across technology risk, program and transformation risk, Responsible AI, data governance, operational resilience, digital compliance and IT internal audit. You will work with clients across sectors to understand their most important technology risks and design practical solutions to deliver valuable outcomes. Your key responsibilities
  • Lead and deliver Risk Consulting engagements across technology and digital risk management, Responsible AI, Cyber Risk Management, ERP advisory (including SAP), Program Risk Management, Operational Resilience, Digital Compliance and IT Internal Audit.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to C-suite technology leaders and business stakeholders (e.g. CIOs, CROs, CISOs, CAEs), helping clients understand, prioritise and address critical digital risks.
  • Design and deliver practical risk and control solutions that strengthen governance, improve control effectiveness, and build confidence in technology-enabled transformation.
  • Lead assessments of IT processes against leading practice IT risk and security frameworks and standards (e.g. COBIT, ITIL, ISO 27001, ISO 42001, Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) Act)
  • Manage and grow client relationships, identifying opportunities to better serve clients and supporting business development activity across priority accounts.
  • Partner across EY service lines and teams, including Technology Consulting, AI & Data, and Business Consulting to bring the right capabilities together for our clients.
  • Develop and mentor our people, building capability in Digital Risk, supporting team member’s career development and contributing to recruitment, coaching, training and team culture
  • Contribute to Digital Risk practice development including thought leadership, go-to-market activity, solution development and sector-specific offerings.
Skills and attributes for success

The key attributes of the role are previous experience working in a consulting firm (Big 4 or boutique), who has a broad range of technology risk management experience to lead our existing portfolio of work, drive growth and manage day to day engagement delivery/teams.

You will bring strong communication and executive-level report writing skills, with an ability to translate complex technology and risk issues into clear business insights. A client-facing Technology Risk Senior Manager who has broad range of experience and capability to support across various Digital Risk solutions and domains such as:

  • IT Risk management, IT governance and controls
  • Cyber governance, Risk and Compliance
  • AI Governance and Responsible Use of AI, including Data and AI strategy, AI Governance framework, AI risk assessments, AI control standards and frameworks)
  • IT Internal Audit, technology-focused reviews including Data Governance, Cyber Security, AI Governance, Data Privacy, Business Continuity
  • Technology program risk management experience and/or program assurance services
  • Digital compliance, including ISO, PCI, NIST, COBIT, ITIL or other leading frameworks
  • Regulatory Compliance, including Privacy Act, SOCI Act, SOX, Spam Act)
  • Operational Resilience, including business continuity or technology resilience programs

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in information systems, Technology, Finance, Business, Accounting, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline

  • Experience working in or advising regulated sectors, critical infrastructure, financial services, government, health, energy, telecommunications or other complex organisations
