Job summary

EY is seeking a Senior Consultant in Integrated Risk Management to help clients across Oceania strengthen governance, risk management, and transformation initiatives. Based in Sydney with hybrid work options, you will contribute to ERM design, risk assessments, and embedding risk appetite in client organizations.

You will lead projects, coach junior staff, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver end-to-end risk engagements, working with government, corporate and not-for-profit

Qualifications

• Experience in risk, governance, strategy or compliance roles.
• ERM design, implementation and operation experience.
• Proficiency in risk assessment tools, risk and compliance standards (ISO, ITIL), and audit techniques.
• Experience supervising a team, projects or processes to completion.
• Solid analytical and writing skills; strong communication abilities.
• Australian citizenship and baseline security clearance (or willingness to obtain) is a bonus.

Senior Consultant - Integrated Risk Management

The opportunity

We support organisations to enhance performance and improve through trust, transformation, innovation and risk. We help clients identify the risks that matter, design frameworks to manage them and, improve the effectiveness and efficiency of governance and management.

As a risk, trust and transformation professional, you will be addressing a wide range of client issues in public sector, corporate and not-for-profit sector across Oceania. You will belong to an international network of specialists helping our clients design, implement and review significant and critical change priorities.

This is a hybrid position based in Warrang - Sydney or Naarm - Melbourne. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Contributing to teams delivering risk, trust, resilience and transformation service engagements end to end, including the review, design and implementation of enterprise risk management (ERM) frameworks, the conduct of strategic and operational risk assessments, the design and embedding of risk appetite in support of risk-based decision making.
• Planning, preparing and reviewing activities and deliverables for clients.
• Working on multiple client engagement teams within the practice and developing and maintaining productive working relationships with clients.
• Coaching and supporting staff members, to develop core risk and consulting skills.

Skills And Attributes For Success

• Experience working for a blue chip, government or professional services organisation in a risk, governance, strategy or compliance role.
• Knowledge of risk and control concepts.
• ERM design, implementation and operation experience, including risk service delivery.
• Proficiency in risk assessment tools, risk and compliance standards (ISO, ITIL, etc.), and audit techniques.
• Experience in supervising a team, projects or processes to completion.
• Proven solid analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent writing and communication skills.
• Australian citizenship and baseline security clearance (or willingness to obtain) is a bonus.
