Job summary

NSW Department of Communities and Justice is seeking a Talent Pool Creation role to lead a Community Service Centre (CSC) team across multiple NSW locations. You will provide strategic leadership, manage operations and foster a collaborative environment to deliver services for children, young people and families.

The role requires a tertiary qualification in social work or related discipline, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in social work, social/Behavioural Science, Welfare or related discipline.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, direction and support to staff within a Community Service Centre (CSC).
• Manage all CSC operations and deliver quality services to children, young people and families.
• Provide strategic leadership and be the senior representative of the Agency in the local community.
• Deliver the Agency’s core functions and services to vulnerable groups.
• Lead staff, monitor performance and ensure work aligns with corporate directions.
• Develop team/unit plans and address performance issues.
• Identify resource needs and ensure goals are achieved within budget and deadlines.
