NSW Department of Communities and Justice is seeking a senior leader to drive performance of a Community Service Centre, guiding staff to deliver high-quality services to children, young people and families. The role requires strategic leadership, partnership development and alignment with agency directions.

Applicants should have a tertiary qualification in social work or related discipline, a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in social work, social/Behavioural Science, Welfare or related discipline and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience with demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel

Responsabilités

• Provide leadership, direction and support to professional and administrative staff within a Community Service Centre (CSC)
• Manage all aspects of the CSC’s operations and build a collaborative team environment to deliver quality services
• Deliver positive outcomes for the community’s children, young people and families
• Provide strategic leadership and management as the senior representative of the Agency in the local community
• Ensure professionalism and performance of staff within the program area
• Develop strategies and manage changes in line with corporate directions
• Build a diverse and inclusive workplace culture
• Initiate and develop partnerships with customers to evaluate service outcomes
• Lead practice with Aboriginal families and address issues specific to the Aboriginal community
