Job summary

HammondCare invites applications for a Senior Manager Adviser Governance and Review to support data and AI governance across the organisation from its St Leonards base, with hybrid options.

You will help ensure safe analytics, reporting and decision‑making in a not‑for‑profit healthcare setting, collaborating with data owners and IT teams to build trust and capability.

This fixed‑term contract runs for 12 months.

Qualifications

• 3–5 demonstrated experience in AI, data governance, data quality, analytics or data management.
• Understanding of end-to-end data flows and lifecycle across systems and reporting.
• Clear communication with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Experience in healthcare or not-for-profit environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the operation of HammondCare’s data and AI governance framework.
• Develop templates and resources to support governance implementation.
• Assist owners and users to clarify data responsibilities and resolve data issues pragmatically.
• Promote pragmatic, risk-aware governance with minimal friction.

About the role

The Data and AI Governance Analyst supports the effective operation ofHammondCare’sdata and AI governance framework, ensuring that data and AI are used and managed safely and responsibly. is trusted, well‑defined, protected, and usable across the organisation.

The role focuses on practical governance — helping data and AI business owners, system teams and business users do the right thing without creatingunnecessary friction or overhead.

This role is critical to enabling safe analytics, reporting, AI and operational decision‑making in a mission‑led, not‑for‑profit environment.

This role takes a practical,hands‑onapproach to governance with a strong focus onbuildingconsistency, accuracy, and accountability. It works in a supportive and collaborative way with teams, positioning itself as an enabler rather than a policing function. By fostering trust and capability, the role helps drive better use of data to informdecision‑making,ultimately supportingimproved care outcomes and more effective operational performance.

Key Responsibilities include

Data and AI Governance Operations

• Conducting project, system and use case assessments to identify and manage data and AI related risks and promote good practices
• Developing and maintaining templates and resources to support the implementation of the Data and AI Governance frameworks

Privacy, Security & Responsible Use

• Support the application of data classification,privacyand access principles
• Work with the Data and AI GovernanceLeadto ensure data is used responsibly and appropriately, particularly for sensitive care and client information

Stakeholder Support & Enablement

• Work with data owners,analystsand business users toclarify data responsibilities, answer governance‑related questionsand resolve data issues pragmatically
• Help teams understand governance expectations in plain language
• Act as a first point of support for data and AI governance queries
• Identifyopportunities to simplify and improve data and AI governance practices
• Help mature governance in step with organisational capability — not ahead of it

About You

• Commitment to engage and align withHammondCare’sChristian Mission, Motivation and Mission in Action
• At least3-5demonstratedexperience in AI, data governance, data quality,analyticsor data management
• Understanding of end-to-end data flows and lifecycle, including how data moves across systems and is used for reporting,analyticsand operational processes
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
• Ability to work with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
• Clear communication skills — able to explain data concepts simply
• Pragmatic, service‑oriented mindset
• Experience in healthcare, agedcareor not‑for‑profit environments
• Exposure to data privacy, information security,AIgovernance, data or technology risk,or regulatory requirements
• Familiarity with data catalogues, BItoolsor analytics platforms
