Job summary

HammondCare is seeking a Data and AI Governance Analyst to oversee its governance framework, ensuring data and AI are used safely, responsibly and usable across the organisation. The role focuses on practical governance, enabling trusted analytics, reporting, and decision‑making in a mission‑led environment.

Hybrid 12‑month contract at St Leonards, NSW. You will work with data owners, analysts and business users to promote governance best practices and improve data quality and security across

Qualifications

• Experience in AI, data governance, data quality, analytics or data management.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end data flows and lifecycle.
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Conduct project, system and use case assessments to identify data/AI risks and promote good practices.
• Develop templates and resources to support governance implementations.
• Support data owners, analysts and users to clarify data responsibilities and resolve issues.
• Explain governance expectations in plain language and improve governance maturity with the organisation.

It works in a supportive and collaborative way with teams, positioning itself as an enabler rather than a policing function.
