HammondCare is seeking a Data and AI Governance Analyst to join our St Leonards team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will help implement practical governance across data and AI, partnering with owners, analysts and business users to minimise risk and maximise value.

You will bring 3–5 years in AI or data governance, a good grasp of data lifecycles, strong communication, and a pragmatic, service-oriented mindset in a health and not-for-profit environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years demonstrated experience in AI, data governance, data quality, analytics or data management.
• Understanding of end-to-end data flows and lifecycle across systems and reporting.
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders; pragmatic, service-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Data and AI Governance Operations: assess projects, systems and use cases to identify data/AI risks and promote best practices.
• Privacy, Security & Responsible Use: apply data classification, privacy and access principles; ensure responsible use of data.
• Stakeholder Support & Enablement: partner with data owners, analysts and users; clarify data responsibilities and resolve governance questions.
• Continuous Improvement: simplify and mature governance practices in step with organisational capability.

It works in a supportive and collaborative way with teams, positioning itself as an enabler rather than a policing function.
