Job summary

Macmahon Holdings Limited, a leading mining and civil contractor, seeks a Senior Management Accountant to provide reporting, financial modelling and commercial support for the Surface Mining Australia business.

Reporting to the Manager – Finance, you’ll oversee month-end close, analyse costs, manage balance sheet reconciliations, and collaborate with project teams across Australia. Occasional travel to stakeholders is expected.

Qualifications

• CPA or CA qualification required.
• Minimum 5 years' accounting experience in medium-sized public companies.
• Strong management accounting and financial modelling skills.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to engage with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation of financial reports and month-end close.
• Analyse financial data to monitor costs, variances and profitability.
• Ensure financial records comply with laws, regulations and policies.
• Attend balance sheet reconciliations for the legal entity.
• Participate in regular project and team meetings to understand operations.
