FMS Field Mining Services Group in Mackay, QLD, is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join the Finance team and support day-to-day accounting, month-end close and reporting across the Group.

You will maintain general ledger, prepare journals, reconcilations, and support AP/AR, cashflow, and compliance including BAS/GST. Collaboration with stakeholders is essential and attention to detail is critical.

Formación

• Requires a tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance and professional accounting qualifications (CPA/CA in progress).
• Strong experience in financial accounting, GL maintenance and reconciliations, with robust month-end close experience.
• Proficient in journals, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, intercompany and GST.
• Experience supporting AP/AR teams with accounting and transactional issues.
• Strong Excel and ERP systems skills; able to work with stakeholders across Finance.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain accurate general ledger records.
• Prepare and post journals, accruals, prepayments, allocations and reclassifications.
• Support month-end close and financial reporting processes.
• Prepare and reconcile balance sheet reconciliations.
• Investigate accounting anomalies and unreconciled balances.
• Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable with accounting issues.
• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation.
• Prepare and reconcile intercompany accounts.
• Support BAS/GST, audit and statutory reporting requirements.
• Manage cashbook and bank reconciliations; forecast cash flow.
