Job summary

The Cement Australia Gladstone site invites an experienced Planning Manager to lead the maintenance planning team responsible for plant and ancillaries, service contracts and major contractors.

You will promote safety, develop and mentor the planning team, ensure SAP maintenance plans reflect schedules and resources, manage budgets, and drive continuous improvement to maximise asset value and uptime across kilns and milling operations.

Qualifications

• Proven heavy industrial maintenance and planning leadership experience.
• Minimum 3 years cement manufacturing experience.
• Experience in managing a functional team.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Office suite, especially MS Project.
• Understanding of SAP maintenance systems and processes.
• Advanced budget setting, tracking and forecasting knowledge.
• Tertiary qualifications in engineering, project management or advanced trades.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Maintenance Planning team to deliver the weekly plan.
• Ensure SAP maintenance system reflects schedules and resource needs.
• Manage planned maintenance, outages and major contractor work.
• Monitor contractor performance and adherence to the plan.
• Maintain planning backlog and drive continuous improvement in planning processes.
• Support budget development for maintenance activities and shutdowns.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and regulatory requirements.
