Job summary

Coregas is seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner for our Port Kembla site to own planned maintenance across Tonnage production facilities. You will coordinate electrical, mechanical and instrumentation activities, manage resources and contractors, and drive reliability and cost improvements.

Based at Port Kembla, you’ll work with operations, trades and vendors in a 24/7 heavy industrial environment, ensuring safe, cost-effective maintenance planning and documentation in the MEX system.

Qualifications

• 5+ years planning multidisciplinary maintenance in industrial settings.
• Strong understanding of safe maintenance work practices.
• Formal Mechanical or Electrical trade qualifications, or a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Reliability Engineering, preferred.
• Experience using maintenance planning/CMMS systems, ideally MEX.
• Proven project management capability.
• Experience with risk assessment and root cause analysis.
• Track record of supporting continuous improvement and change.
• Strong planning, coordination and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain planned maintenance schedules across electrical, mechanical and instrumentation equipment.
• Plan and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities, including labour, contractors and parts.
• Maintain accurate maintenance plans and records within the MEX maintenance management system.
• Develop achievable maintenance plans that balance safety, operational and commercial requirements.
• Coordinate Coregas trades, third-party contractors and specialist resources to deliver maintenance activities.
• Drive continuous improvement across maintenance safety, quality, reliability and cost.
• Support Safe Work Systems, including preparation of permits and JSAs where required.
• Coordinate unplanned and breakdown maintenance when required.
• Provide support for maintenance and engineering projects.
• Support effective maintenance planning across Port Kembla, Mackay, Darra and Erskine Park Tonnage facilities.
