Job summary

Rio Tinto Weipa is seeking a Superintendent Maintenance HEQ to lead the maintenance strategy for the Northern Operations Heavy Equipment fleet, driving safety, reliability and performance. You will own maintenance plans and asset management strategies, maximise equipment availability and coordinate with engineering, planning and operations teams.

The role requires proven leadership, delivery of maintenance excellence, and a commitment to safety and operational efficiency within a large mining

Qualifications

• Experience leading maintenance teams in heavy industrial environments.
• Strong understanding of maintenance planning, reliability and asset lifecycle management.
• Proven ability to manage budgets and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of maintenance supervisors and asset management professionals.
• Oversee planning, organisation and execution of maintenance activities across the operation.
• Drive safe work practices, training and workforce capability development.
• Optimise utilisation of labour, equipment and resources through maintenance planning.
• Develop and manage maintenance budgets and operating plans.
• Improve equipment reliability and asset performance through asset management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to meet operational objectives.
