Job summary

GHD is recruiting a Senior Electrical Engineer – Low Voltage (LV) for Melbourne. You will lead LV electrical building services design, power distribution, lighting and emergency systems, coordinating with mechanical, hydraulic, fire and civil teams to deliver robust infrastructure projects.

You will mentor junior engineers, manage concept-to-construction activities, and advocate sustainable, energy-efficient solutions for transport, healthcare, education and other sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or higher degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Chartered Professional Engineer status or eligibility.
• Experience in LV electrical building services design.
• Proficiency with PowerCad and related design tools.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality LV electrical building services designs.
• Design and review LV power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting and related infrastructure.
• Coordinate electrical design with multidisciplinary teams across disciplines.
• Build strong client relationships and contribute to technical reports, assessments and proposals.
• Manage electrical design activities from concept through construction and commissioning.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and share technical knowledge.
• Champion sustainable, energy-efficient and innovative solutions.
