rcmt in Melbourne is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join our Building Services team. You will design and deliver electrical systems for high-profile commercial projects, collaborating with architects, clients and engineers across disciplines.

The role covers lighting, power and distribution design, layout preparation, load calculations, and cross-disciplinary coordination to support delivery from concept through to construction.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience within Building Services / Consulting Engineering.
• Strong understanding of electrical building services design.
• Experience with lighting, power and electrical distribution systems.
• Ability to produce and review high-quality engineering documentation.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit is highly regarded.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and project delivery.

We are currently seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join an established and growing Building Services team in Melbourne.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Engineer who wants to work on high-profile commercial projects, develop technically, and work alongside experienced engineers across a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.

The Opportunity You will be involved in the electrical design and delivery of a diverse range of building projects, working closely with architects, clients, builders and other engineering disciplines.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Electrical design and documentation across commercial building projects
• Preparation of electrical layouts, schematics and design documentation
• Lighting, power, communications and essential services design
• Electrical load calculations and equipment selection
• Design coordination with structural, mechanical, hydraulic and architectural teams

What We're Looking For
