Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Senior Loss Adjuster in Geelong, Australia, to manage major and complex home property claims. You will deliver best-in-market experience while ensuring cost-effective outcomes, following policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities include coaching, regulatory awareness, and building strong client relationships. The role requires strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills to assess risks and resolve claims.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years adjusting experience.
• Autonomous and team-oriented work style.
• Experience handling complaints and disputed claims.
• Strong understanding of insurance principles, policies, and regulations.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to analyse data, assess risks and provide effective solutions.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of major and/or complex property claims.
• Review for continuous improvement across claims and quality assurance.
• Provide technical support and feedback to the claims team.
• Assist with coaching and training of team members.
• Stay updated across regulatory changes and industry themes and insights.
• Build and develop strong working relationships with our Clients.
• Provide escalation point to team following complaints and/or technical queries.
• Attendance at stakeholder meetings/conferences/phone calls when required.

Senior Loss Adjuster

This is an exciting career opportunity for a Senior Adjuster to join our high performing team. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of domestic home property claims and deliver a best in market claims experience to our customers, whilst achieving the most cost-effective and timely outcomes in accordance with policies and procedures.

What are my accountabilities?

• Manage a portfolio of major and/or complex property claims;

• Proven ability to manage complaints and disputed claims when required;
• A strong understanding of insurance principles, policies, and regulations;
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills;
• The ability to analyse data, assess risks, and provide effective solutions;
• Experience in relationship building and stakeholder management.
