Job summary

Murrin Murrin Operations, part of Glencore, seeks a Senior Specialist - Logistics in Western Australia. You will lead and coordinate logistics across road, rail, port and marine interfaces, monitor performance, and drive efficiencies to support production and shipping deadlines.

Reporting to the manager, you’ll develop procedures, manage costs and negotiate with service providers, while maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders across the mine site.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience in similar role managing freight across road, rail and shipping.
• Tertiary qualification in Commerce or Supply & Logistics.
• Experience administering logistics service agreements and managing performance.
• Experience in budgeting and cost management.
• Contract documentation preparation and ongoing management.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate logistics across road, rail, port and marine interfaces.
• Monitor service provider performance and address corrective actions.
• Optimize logistics operations to support production, inventory and shipping requirements.
• Coordinate rail scheduling, vessel planning, stevedoring and road transport movements.
• Monitor logistics costs and identify opportunities for operational efficiencies.
• Develop and maintain logistics procedures, work instructions and business processes.
• Act as a senior logistics resource for the team and guide performance improvement.
• Maintain relationships with logistics providers, port authorities, rail operators and internal stakeholders.
