Job summary

Dnata is seeking candidates for expressions of interest in a weight and balance control role within our ground handling team in Australia. The role involves planning and preparing weight and balance documentation, liaising with airline staff, and ensuring accurate passenger and baggage weights.

Successful candidates will have significant ground handling experience, knowledge of aviation regulations, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3 years ground handling experience
• Knowledge of aviation legislation (flight planning, weather, NOTAM, Load Control)
• Dangerous Goods Awareness Training
• High-level computer skills including Excel and Word
• Ability to work under pressure and meet SLAs
• Strong communication with diverse backgrounds
• Proactive self-starter capable of handling multiple issues
• Ability to work unsupervised in a fast-paced team environment

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare all system and manual weight & balance documentation
• Liaise with customer airline staff to ensure policy compliance
• Ensure accuracy of passenger figures and baggage/cargo weight
• Prepare and issue loading instruction reports to ground handling staff
• Provide Centralised Load Control functions to client airlines
• Provide flight operations information for fuel uplift and trim within ground time
• Monitor flight schedule changes and update Departure Control System docs
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
• Promote a positive safety culture focused on awareness and vigilance
