Job summary

Upper Lachlan Shire Council is seeking a Senior Lifeguard to lead the pool attendants this season, overseeing daily operations and lifeguard supervision at Crookwell and Gunning Pools. Join a team focused on safe, efficient service during the summer season from November through March.

Applicants should have RLSSA Lifeguard Training, WWCC, first aid and advanced resuscitation certificates, and experience supervising staff. Flexible shifts and a supportive team environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Current RLSSA Pool Lifeguard Training Certificate or willingness to acquire.
• Current NSW Working with Children Check clearance number.
• Contemporary knowledge and demonstrated experience in an aquatics environment.
• Previous experience as a supervisor, or supervising as a lifeguard.
• Current first aid certificate and advanced resuscitation certificate.
• Proven ability to work productively as a team member and contribute to team goals.
• Demonstrated experience to work unsupervised and supervise subordinate staff.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of customers.
• Ability to acquire a chemical handling certificate if needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead the pool attendants this season and oversee day-to-day operation of Council Pools.
• Supervise lifeguards and support team members to work efficiently, effectively and safely.
• Provide supervision at both Crookwell and Gunning Pools during the summer season (Nov–Mar).

If you love being around pools and interacting with people then this is the job for you. We are currently seeking a Senior Lifeguard to lead the pool attendants this season.

This is a great opportunity to oversee the day to day operation of Council Pools and supervision of lifeguards, and support team members to undertake their work efficiently, effectively and safely

Working at both Crookwell and Gunning Pools - a beautiful place to spend your summer, and earn an income.

Upper Lachlan Shire is looking for energetic and enthusiastic Swimming Pool Attendants to provide lifeguard supervision and undertake operational and maintenance duties at both the Gunning and Crookwell Swimming Pools over the summer season from November through to March (subject to weather). Depending on your availability you could work up to 38 hours a week.

To be considered for this fantastic opportunity you will need the following;

• Current RLSSA Pool Lifeguard Training Certificate or willingness to acquire.
• Current NSW Working with children check clearance number.
• Contemporary knowledge and demonstrated experience in working within an aquatics environment.
• Previous experience as a supervisor, or supervising as a lifeguard.

You have experience in providing superior customer service and your maturity enables you to work under limited supervision. You are flexible with your availability and can work weekday hours and also weekends.

Enjoy generous pay rates starting from $41.17 per hour (including casual loading) + superannuation . This position is a Grade 7 in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award and Council's salary system.
