Job summary

Firmus Technologies in Australia is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel: Customer, Technology & IP to provide strategic, commercially focused legal support across customer, technology and IP matters related to the AI Factory platform.

Reporting to the General Counsel, you will negotiate significant customer engagements, advise on privacy, data protection and export controls, and help shape templates, policies and risk management across the business.

Qualifications

• PQE 8-10 years with top-tier law firm or in-house
• Experience in tech, IP, privacy, data protection and contracting
• Able to negotiate complex customer and technology deals
• Strong commercial judgment and proactive risk management
• Excellent stakeholder communication and negotiation skills

Responsibilities

• Lead customer and commercial negotiations for Firmus' AI platform
• Draft and negotiate technology, software, SaaS and IT contracts
• Protect and license intellectual property; manage IP matters
• Ensure regulatory, privacy, data protection and export control compliance
• Address consumer law and fair trading considerations
• Develop and maintain legal templates, policies and frameworks
• Provide risk-aware advice across business units
