Job summary

NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA) is seeking experienced Senior Legal Officers to join our team. These roles cover environmental protection, administrative law, enforcement, and legislative reform.

You will provide trusted legal advice to internal and external stakeholders and contribute to regulatory approaches. You will help develop legislation, deliver legal education and compliance programs, and support complex government workflows.

Qualifications

• Qualified NSW legal practitioner or eligible for NSW practising certificate.
• 3+ years post qualification experience.
• Ability to provide sound, practical and strategic legal advice in a complex government/regulatory environment.
• Experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders to translate complex issues into engagement opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Provide trusted legal advice to internal and external stakeholders across environmental protection and governance.
• Conduct litigation and prepare necessary legal documentation where required.
• Contribute to legislative reform and development of regulatory approaches.
• Develop and deliver legal education, training and compliance programs.
