Job summary

Downer is seeking an experienced Head of Communications and Stakeholder Engagement to provide strategic leadership across community engagement, stakeholder relations, communications and Aboriginal participation for major power infrastructure projects.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team, influence project leadership, and manage relationships with government, landowners and communities to support successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of community engagement, stakeholder relations or communications experience.
• At least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engagement teams and managing complex stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for community engagement, stakeholder relations, communications and Aboriginal participation for major power infrastructure projects.
• Lead a multidisciplinary engagement team and manage relationships with government agencies, councils, communities and Aboriginal stakeholders.
• Advise on emerging stakeholder issues, community impacts and project reputation across transmission and substation projects.
