Job summary

The Network is seeking a Senior/Lead Business Analyst to join a major Federal Government program based in Canberra. The role focuses on leading business modelling, process improvement, and strategic analysis across complex ICT initiatives.

You will drive requirements definition, feasibility assessments and future-state processes, while facilitating workshops with senior stakeholders and ICT teams to align options and outcomes. Canberra-based, long-term contract preferred.

Senior Business Analyst - Federal Government

Canberra ACT (Must be Canberra based) | Long-Term Contract | Federal Government (Must have Baseline/NV1 minimum)

The Network are looking for multiple experienced Senior/Lead Business Analyst to join a major Federal Government program delivering critical data, insight and operational ICT capabilities. This role will suit a senior BA who is strong across business modelling, process improvement, complex requirements and strategic analysis.

The Role

• Lead business modelling, process mapping, gap analysis and requirements definition across complex ICT initiatives.
• Develop solution blueprints, business/functional specifications, feasibility assessments and future-state processes.
• Facilitate workshops and work closely with business, ICT and senior stakeholders to evaluate options, resolve ambiguity and drive agreed outcomes.

What We're Looking For

• Strong Senior/Lead BA experience across complex enterprise ICT programs, ideally with 5+ consecutive years at senior level.
• Demonstrated expertise in business process improvement, business situation analysis, feasibility assessment and requirements management.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and consultancy skills, with the ability to influence, facilitate and gain agreement across competing business and technical priorities.

Highly Desirable

• Federal Government experience working across complex data, analytics, visualisation or enterprise technology environments.
• Strong experience producing process maps, business/functional specifications, business cases, risk assessments and solution documentation.
• Experience with user stories, UX requirements, requirements prioritisation and business process modelling tools/techniques.
