itD is seeking a Compliance Specialist V to support Global EHS programs by ensuring laser, optical, and radiation safety compliance across research labs and development environments. The ideal candidate has 5+ years as an LSO and strong knowledge of laser safety standards, with hands-on experience in hazard assessments and exposure calculations. Location: Onsite – Redmond, WA.

Pay rate: $40–$46 per hour. Duration: 5 months. We offer medical benefits, a 401k plan, paid holidays, and more.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years as Laser Safety Officer (LSO) with hands-on hazard assessments.
• Experience with laser safety standards, radiation safety testing, and SOP development.
• Background in a lab/engineering setting with cross-functional teams.

Responsabilités

• Conduct laser and radiation safety inspections and audits.
• Evaluate hazards and assist hardware requirements for laser equipment.
• Perform laser exposure calculations and safety testing.
• Review SOPs and assess external laser service work.
• Collaborate with R&D, product, engineering, and EHS teams.
