Job summary

Queensland Health seeks a Senior System Support Officer to support clinical information systems essential to patient care. You will contribute to a specialist team handling day-to-day operations and incident management for the Laboratory Information System.

You will install, configure, document, validate and maintain ICT solutions, and assist with interfaces linking laboratory instruments across Queensland Health. Stakeholder collaboration and continuous service improvements are expected.

Qualifications

• Knowledge across a broad range of information technology solutions, particularly in clinical areas such as pathology, forensic sciences or public health.
• Demonstrated ability to analyse issues and develop collaborative solutions with minimal direction.
• Experience in providing excellent client service within an IM/ICT framework and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and manage incidents and system issues relating to the Laboratory Information System and related applications.
• Install, configure, document, validate, and maintain software, hardware and ICT solutions.
• Assist with the development and support of interfaces connecting laboratory instruments and other systems across Queensland Health.
• Share pathology and system knowledge to ensure effective use of Laboratory Information Systems and liaise with clients and stakeholders to identify improvements.
