Job summary

Queensland Health seeks a meticulous laboratory support member to prepare and process specimens for testing, ensuring accurate registration, processing and referral as required. The role includes data entry, microbiological specimen setup, and delivering responsive service to internal and external clients.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong work ethics, autonomy and a commitment to high-quality service, with excellent communication and administrative skills to navigate IT systems

Qualifications

• Demonstrated high work ethics, ability to work autonomously and pride in work.
• Ability to deliver high quality services to clients and respond to client expectations.
• High level of communication skills for interaction in individual and group situations.
• Demonstrated effective administration skills including keyboard skills and ability to learn computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process specimens for scientific testing, ensuring samples are accurately registered, processed, aliquoted and referred as required.
• Undertake data entry and microbiological specimen setup, while providing efficient and responsive service to internal and external clients.
