Logicalis Australia seeks a Senior Network Engineer to join its team in Melbourne, delivering Level 3 escalation, incident management, and mentorship for L1/L2 staff. The role focuses on enterprise-grade data centre networks and security, with responsibilities spanning design, operations and on-call duties.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Network Engineering experience.
• Experience operating as an L3 escalation point.
• Strong troubleshooting across switching, routing, firewalls and wireless.
• Experience in enterprise, managed services, or data centre environments.
• Experience managing P1/P2 incidents and root cause analysis.
• Understanding of ITIL service management practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience mentoring L1/L2 support teams.
• Certifications: Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet or Juniper.
• Experience with hyperscale, cloud or data centre environments.
• Automation and scripting experience.
• Current NV1 Security Clearance (Nice to Have).
• Australian Citizenship (mandatory) / eligibility to obtain Government Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Level 3 escalation point for critical network incidents.
• Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis and remediation activities.
• Support highly available data centre and enterprise networks.
• Participate in a 24x7 on-call roster for Priority 1 and 2 incidents.
• Perform network lifecycle management including patching and upgrades.
• Drive operational excellence through automation and monitoring.
• Collaborate with vendors, support teams and project stakeholders.
• Maintain network security, resilience and performance across platforms.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation and runbooks.
