Job summary

Logicalis Australia is seeking a seasoned Level 3 Network Engineer to own escalation management, lead incident resolution, and mentor junior teams within mission-critical data centre networks in Sydney or Melbourne.

You will drive automation, partner with vendors, maintain security and performance, and contribute to a 24x7 on-call roster. This 12-month contract offers a challenging environment with opportunities to shape enterprise-scale networks.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Network Engineering experience.
• Experience as L3 escalation point.
• Troubleshooting across switching, routing, firewalls, and wireless.
• Experience in enterprise, managed services, data centre environments.
• Managing P1/P2 incidents and conducting root cause analysis.
• ITIL service management knowledge.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement.
• Mentoring L1/L2 support teams.
• Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet or Juniper certifications.
• Experience supporting hyperscale, cloud or data centre environments.
• Automation and scripting experience.
• NV1 Security Clearance (nice to have) and Australian citizenship eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Act as Level 3 escalation point for critical network incidents.
• Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis and remediation.
• Support data centre and enterprise networks.
• Participate in 24x7 on-call roster for P1/P2 incidents.
• Perform network lifecycle management including patching and upgrades.
• Drive automation and monitoring for service improvement.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams.
• Maintain security, resilience, and performance of critical infrastructure.
• Produce technical documentation and runbooks.
