Job summary

JPEX Recruitment is seeking an experienced Joinery Draftsperson / Cabinet Vision Specialist in Wangaratta to lead drafting and production documentation. You will convert concepts into buildable, CNC-ready drawings and help drive manufacturing workflows from design to production.

The role focuses on producing detailed shop drawings using Cabinet Vision, interpreting plans, and coordinating with design and production teams to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in joinery drafting.
• Advanced Cabinet Vision proficiency is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of cabinetry construction and manufacturing processes.
• Experience producing detailed manufacturing documentation for residential joinery.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Collaborative across design and production teams.

Responsibilities

JPEX Recruitment is currently representing a growing and well-established cabinetry and joinery business in Wangaratta in the search for an experienced Joinery Draftsperson / Cabinet Vision Specialist.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded joinery professional who understands that great cabinetry starts long before it reaches the factory floor. You’ll take concepts and designs and turn them into accurate, buildable and production-ready documentation, working closely with design, sales and manufacturing teams to ensure projects move efficiently from design through to production.

If you have strong Cabinet Vision experience and a solid understanding of how cabinetry is actually manufactured, this could be an excellent long‑term opportunity.

The Opportunity

You will play a key role in the successful delivery of a range of residential joinery projects, taking responsibility for detailed drafting, manufacturing documentation and production coordination.

Your role will include:

• Producing detailed shop and manufacturing drawings using Cabinet Vision
• Interpreting architectural drawings, construction plans and client specifications
• Preparing CNC-ready manufacturing documentation, data and machine files
• Developing and maintaining Cabinet Vision drawings, reports and production outputs
• Reviewing designs for buildability, accuracy and manufacturing efficiency
• Working closely with sales, designers, production teams, suppliers, trades and construction teams
• Coordinating project workflows, schedules and production requirements
• Assisting with procurement and material planning
• Maintaining drawing accuracy, document control and quality standards
• Managing multiple projects and competing deadlines
• Identifying design improvements and opportunities to improve manufacturing efficiency
• Providing technical support and practical problem solving across projects
• Contributing to improved systems, workflows and production processes

What We're Looking For

We're looking for an experienced joinery professional who combines strong technical drafting ability with a genuine understanding of cabinetry manufacturing.

To be successful, you'll have:

• 3+ years' experience in joinery drafting
• Advanced Cabinet Vision proficiency - Highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of cabinetry construction and manufacturing processes
