Job summary

Marble Group in Western Sydney is seeking an experienced Joinery Drafter to produce detailed 3D production drawings for high-end commercial joinery projects across Australia. You will interpret architectural drawings, collaborate with the production team, and ensure designs are practical from factory floor through to installation, with a Monday–Friday, office-based schedule.

Responsibilities

• Producing detailed 3D production and shop drawings for commercial joinery.
• Interpreting architectural drawings and project documentation.
• Developing designs from concept through to production.
• Ensuring drawings are accurate, practical and suitable for manufacture.
• Working closely with production and factory teams to resolve technical issues.
• Preparing detailed drawings and documentation for manufacturing.
• Working on complex, high-detail commercial joinery projects.
• Liaising with internal teams to ensure projects are delivered accurately and efficiently.
• Maintaining a high level of attention to detail across all drawings.

With extensive experience across architectural joinery, custom furniture, and commercial interiors, the team works on complex and challenging projects producing world-class joinery.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Trade Qualified Cabinet Maker/Joiner, or someone with very strong practical joinery knowledge, who has developed their career in production drafting and understands how joinery is manufactured from the factory floor through to installation.

The Role

Working as part of an experienced drafting and production team, you will be responsible for producing detailed 3D production drawings, working closely with the wider production team, and ensuring designs are practical, accurate, and ready for manufacture.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Producing detailed 3D production and shop drawings for commercial joinery
• Interpreting architectural drawings and project documentation
• Developing designs from concept through to production
• Ensuring drawings are accurate, practical and suitable for manufacture
• Working closely with production and factory teams to resolve technical issuesPreparing detailed drawings and documentation for manufacturing

About You

• A Cabinet Making or Joinery trade qualification, or extensive equivalent industry experience
• 5 years production drafting experience, preferably across commercial joinery projects
• Experience in ImosIX, Cabinet Vision, Mozaik, or Pytha software will be highly regarded
• The ability to confidently draw and detail joinery in 3D
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach
• The ability to interpret architectural plans and specifications
• Good communication skills and the ability to work closely with production teams
• A genuine understanding of what is practical and achievable in a manufacturing environment

The role is Monday to Friday, office-based, with some flexibility around working hours for the right candidate.
