City of Ipswich is seeking an Engineer/Senior Engineer (Traffic Systems) to lead the operational management of the city’s intelligent transport systems and drive innovative solutions for safer, more efficient network performance.

You will monitor ITS performance, deliver ITS projects, and resolve enquiries related to traffic signals and parking systems while contributing to transport policies and funding submissions. This is a permanent full-time role in Ipswich.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in electrical or civil engineering or substantial equivalent experience.
• Experience in intelligent transport systems control, management and operating systems.
• RPEQ is desirable.
• Current C Class Queensland driver’s licence.

Responsabilités

• Actively monitor and continuously improve the city's intelligent transport systems to support safe and efficient transport outcomes across the road network.
• Identify, scope and deliver intelligent transport system projects.
• Investigate and resolve enquiries relating to traffic signals, parking management system and ITS technologies.
• Contribute to transport policies, strategies, studies, projects and funding submissions.
• Represent council at meetings, workshops and other forums.
