Job summary

TranTech Computers in Mackay region is seeking a friendly IT support specialist to join our close-knit team. You’ll handle a mix of onsite and remote support, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide proactive customer service to keep clients up and running.

We value initiative, clear communication and the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical users. You’ll work with a team of 11 techs and have opportunities for learning and development in a well-established local business.

More about the role

You’ll be :

• Working in a team.
• Friendly customer service – including an unwitting ability to be empathetic and positive towards your clients, without dropping your amazingly professional attitude
• Onsite and remote support – including troubleshooting technical issues over the phone with clients (using remote tools when necessary)
• Tech services – such as system rollouts, backup restorations and workshop PC/Server support

Experience with the following technologies is beneficial:

• Networking
• Office 365
• SharePoint
• All forms of Desktop Support Windows 11

• Passion for technology and proven experience working with IT software, hardware, networks and peripherals
• Previous tech support experience;
• Proven customer service experience and a drive to help people

• Ability to pick up new technologies and learn new systems quickly
• Ability to relay technical terminology to non-technical people
• Ability to work both independently and within a team
