Peoplebank Australia SA is recruiting a Senior IT Systems and Cyber Security Engineer in the Adelaide CBD for a permanent, ongoing role. You will drive the uplift and modernisation of ICT and cyber security across the business, reporting to the IT Director as 2IC.

The role combines hands-on technical work across Windows, Linux, macOS with strategic planning, governance, and risk management. Australian citizenship and security clearance are advantageous.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in an IT Infrastructure, IT systems, and/or Cyber Security role.
• Endpoint hardening and MDM administration (Intune, or similar)
• Identity and access management fundamentals (Okta)
• Experience with regulated frameworks (ISO 27001, Essential Eight, or DISP) as well as vendor risk and emerging AI governance.
• SIEM/log management fundamentals; vendor risk assessment experience
• Australian citizenship is required (not essential but preferred) and experience in Defence sector is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• IT Support: ticket triage and resolution with Service Desk across endpoint, identity and access requests.
• Onboarding and offboarding, including access deprovisioning.
• Maintain asset and application inventory.
• Endpoint and identity security operations: deploy and maintain MDM across corporate devices.
• Configure and tune endpoint controls to close security gaps and extend SSO coverage.
• Governance, risk & compliance support: ISO 27001 ISMS operation, evidence collection and control owner support ahead of audits.
• Maintain AI Tool Registry and support vendor security assessments.
• Track and report on Essential Eight maturity progress.
