Job summary

Scope Healthcare is seeking an IT & Clinical Systems Lead to own technology end to end across Melbourne clinics. You'll patch servers, secure Microsoft 365, and support clinical systems like ECG, Holter, ultrasound, and practice management.

You'll lead AI initiatives, configure vendors, manage budgets, and ensure patient data protection under Australian privacy principles. This hands-on, cross-functional role reports to the Managing Director and travels between clinics.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of hands-on IT experience, including time as the lead or only IT person.
• Strong Microsoft 365 administration, including identity, security and device management.
• Solid Windows Server skills, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, virtualisation, backup and recovery.
• Working knowledge of networking and security.
• Scripting, ideally in PowerShell.
• Daily, practical use of AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT, with examples of work you've automated.
• Experience supporting specialist business software and managing vendors.
• A current driver's licence and a car, as you'll travel regularly between our clinics across Melbourne.

Responsibilities

• Administer Microsoft 365. This covers Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Intune and Defender.
• Run our Windows Server environment, including Active Directory, Group Policy, file and application servers, patching, monitoring, backup and recovery.
• Look after the networks and hardware in every clinic, including firewalls, Wi-Fi, workstations and printers, plus day-to-day IT support and staff onboarding.
• Keep our clinical systems available, current and fast, managing upgrades, device connectivity and data flow between ECG, Holter, ultrasound and practice management systems.
• Be the first point of support for clinical staff and coordinate with vendors to fix faults quickly.
• Lead how we use AI across the business, building automations and AI agents to handle repetitive admin tasks.
• Set AI guardrails, define data flows, checks, and sign-off requirements, and train staff on safe usage.
• Protect patient data with MFA, conditional access, endpoint protection, access reviews and tested backups.
• Own incident response and disaster recovery plans and test them regularly.
• Manage vendors, budgets and planning, including licenses, renewals, and roadmaps.
• Keep documentation current and accessible to the team.
