Job summary

Ashdown People is recruiting a Senior Advisor - Industrial Relations (Employment Law) for NSW Government contract roles. The position is hybrid and offers strategic advisory responsibilities and risk management across senior executives and junior teams.

You will lead across industrial instruments, policies and procedures, prepare advocacy materials, and negotiate with unions, appearing before tribunals and the NSW Industrial Relations Commission as required.

Qualifications

• Industrial relations specialist with advanced experience gained through the NSW Government.
• Operate at the strategic level and provide advisory and risk management services from junior levels through to senior executives.
• Knowledge of NSW Government guidelines and legislation; lead across industrial instruments, policies and procedures to resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Advocacy and/or oversight for briefing external counsel to support issue resolution.
• Represent a NSW Government agency in negotiations and consultations with Unions; appeared at tribunal and the NSW Industrial Relations Commission.
