Job summary

NSW Department of Customer Service – North Parramatta NSW is seeking a Senior Investigator to lead investigations and enforcement in the Rental Branch. The role is full-time with hybrid work arrangements in Parramatta, attendance required 2-3 days per week.

Base salary $116,981–$129,492 per annum plus superannuation. You will oversee investigations into shared housing arrangements under STRA and related code compliance, coordinating with partner agencies and delivering outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience leading investigations in regulatory/compliance settings.
• Ability to provide specialist compliance advice and develop materials.
• Capacity to prepare evidence and enforce breaches of law.

Responsibilities

• Lead compliance, investigation and enforcement activities using a risk-based regulatory approach.
• Provide specialist compliance advice and assistance in developing information and education materials.
• Prepare evidence and take enforcement action for breaches of the law.
• Maintain detailed records of investigations, inspections, and enforcement actions/outcomes.
• Coordinate, collect and use intelligence to inform operations.
• Prepare reports and presentations for executives and stakeholders.
• Contribute to end-to-end regulatory response with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
