Job summary

IBAC is seeking an Investigations Manager to lead a large multi-disciplinary team responsible for highly complex and sensitive matters within IBAC's jurisdiction in Melbourne. The role requires strategic oversight, strong governance and the ability to drive investigations across the organisation.

Reporting to the Director - Investigations, you will plan, direct and deliver investigations in compliance with legislation and IBAC policies, review evidence materials, and contribute to policy

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in conducting and managing sensitive and complex investigations.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary investigation teams.
• Experience using traditional and contemporary investigative techniques.
• Formal qualifications and/or training in investigations, law enforcement or a related discipline are essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage planning and delivery of the Investigations team's program of work, overseeing investigations within the unit.
• Direct and conduct investigations in accordance with legislation, processes and procedure.
• Review complex written materials including affidavits, warrants, briefs of evidence and reports.
• Develop and implement policy frameworks and procedures in line with legislation and policy across the organisation.
